10 minutes Kimchi Tofu Soup

One day when I looked at my fridge, hey, there is still kimchi that has been sitting there since.. hmmm.. quite a while. I checked; it was still good. At the same time, I just bough Tofu from Asian supermarket. So I thought, why don’t I make Kimchi Tofu soup. It turns out to be so good! I didn’t even think to take some shots for my blog because it was just one of my random cooking. But I still want to keep this recipe as my reference in the future, so here we go! No steps’s shots, just the end result. Tada… ! 🙂

Total Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 3-4


400 g               Tofu, sliced into 1-2 cm

100 g               Bacon, sliced

200 g               Kimchi

1 pcs.               Medium onion, sliced

2 pcs.               Garlic, sliced

1 pcs.               Spring onion, Chopped (white part)

1 tbsp.             Soy sauce

½ tsp               Salt

1 tsp                Sugar

½ tsp               Chicken powder

1 -1,2 lt.           Water

2 tbsp.             Vegetable oil


Chopped spring onion, green part


  • Pre-heat a pot with vegetable oil on medium-high heat. Throw in the sliced bacon. Sauté until it turns golden brown.
  • Add in onion, garlic, spring onion, and kimchi. Stir for a minute or two.
  • Pour in water, cook until it’s boiling.
  • Add in sliced tofu.
  • Season with soy sauce, salt, chicken powder (optional), and sugar.
